Other than the above, the game drives really well on my G29, took a bit of time to refine my FFB but now I can fly around most stages. My biggest gripe is I prefer driving in dashcam view, the Safari rally is a nightmare in this view as I cannot see the road in front of me as it gets way to dark, if I change the time of day on other events to morning or evening it is really hard to see where I'm going, we should have a gamma setting in display options to brighten up the dark areas I think.
There's also the AI, sometimes I beat them, sometimes not, they seem quite inconsistent. Regarding screen tearing, it happens very rarely but is noticeable when it does happen, seems to be a thing when I'm turning a sharp right, I'll notice a tear on the left of my screen about half way down. What I mean is some events and their stages look just as good as WRC 8, Finland looks awful, like there is no anti-aliasing and the colours for trees looks really over saturated. With only two more entries to come before Codemasters take over the WRC licence, we look forward to seeing what’s left to come from the series. this new Game Ready Driver offers support for Victoria 3, WRC Generations. I do have a Thrustmaster Wheel, but haven't tried it yet because of the stuttering. Prior to the patch the FPS was silky smooth and I was really enjoying it.ġ20hz (at 1080p only - as that's all my TV supports) seems ok, but the reduction in visual quality was significant. It is very jarring and off putting for me. For me it is a distinct stutter, rather than screen tearing.
